The time has come -  QR-Codes  will be really in the wild in a few days. As of today  Facebook  offered a  QR-Code generator feature  for each page. Below the page logo a link enabled the user to create a QR-Code image encoding the URI of the facebook page. It was also possible to download the QR code as PDF, but I was not able to try it. The mentioned features were online for a few hours until they disappeared. But I assume QR-codes will be an integrated part of facebook in the very near future. TEC-IT announces a new AIX 5.2 based barcode library for the i5/OS PASE platform - AS/400 . The barcode API consists of only three function calls to generate a barcode in memory (PCL or Postscript format). The following workaround can help to solve the problem with the disappearing toolbar in Word 2007: Close Word 2007. Rename or delete the file "TBarCode Add-In.dot". Win XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[YourUserName]\Local Settings\Application Data\TEC-IT\TBarCode9 Windows Vista: C:\users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local\TEC-IT\TBarCode9 Start Word 2007. By doing so, a new .dot file should be created and the plugin should be visible again.

As of today an update of the TBarCode Barcode SDK (including a Barcode ActiveX , Barcode DLL and .NET Barcode Assembly ) is available. It fixes some problems and provides several improvements: Fixed GS1 Data Matrix: Fixed FNC1 encoding bug (see V9.2.2). BCGetBarcodeHeight(..) returned incorrect value with rotation of 270°. TBarCode .NET: ByteData property (encoding of binary data) produced an error. TBarCode .NET: Licensing problems caused by incorrect product enumeration IDs (32-bit and 64-bit). Just a short notice: A brand-new TBarCode update is available: Version V9.1 of this barcode generator features automatic check-digit validation . This means, that TBarCode validates check-digits entered by the user. Wrong check-digits are rejected with an error message. For custom check-digits this behaviour can be disabled by changing the check-digit computation method to "None". In addition to this improvement some bugs got fixed. The Department of Industrial Engineering of the Bilkent University in Ankara (Turkey) is another user of TEC-IT's web-based barcode generator . The university uses the web based barcode generator in their protected web pages for print and managing student attendance forms .

TEC-IT released a new update of the Barcode Generator SDK TBarCode (version 9.0.1). The update includes the following bug fixes and enhancements: TBarCode is now available in Spanish language as well ( see SICAE SLL - Barcode Software ). Corrected licensing function (TBarCode .NET, Windows x64 version). Rotated barcodes (180°) are now generated correctly. The developer manual was extended with detailed information about deployment and dependencies. Font-sizes are now accepted correctly (TBarCode .NET Windows Forms Control).
